Apart from the religious events in April including Good Friday and Easter Sunday, the United States also has plenty of other famous festivals to celebrate in the month of April. Ranging from Jazz festivals to large scale gatherings and parties they are too numerous to name. Those among the most widely known are:
The Texas Fiesta San Antonio
The Louisiana New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival
Earth Day
The third festival, Earth Day, is the only one not confined to US alone, although the US is probably one of the largest participants along with Australia and Europe. It’s held annually during the spring in the northern hemisphere on April 22. It is a call for people to protect and appreciate the Earth and the beginning of the Green Generation campaign, a movement promoting a new way of thinking, living and doing business. The Texas Fiesta San Antonio is the largest party in Texas with over 150 events and activities ranging from masked balls to the Pooch Parade. The Louisiana New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival is similarly one of the largest in the state of Lousiana, apart from the famous Mardi Gras of course. It’s simply a festival for those seeking to enjoy some of the best live music in the country.
